BRITT & COMPANY TRAVEL
Terms & Conditions
Britt & Company Travel operates as a travel advisor and agent. Most services included in your travel arrangements—such as accommodations, flights, tours, cruises, and ground transportation—are provided by independent third-party travel suppliers (“Travel Suppliers”). When you confirm a booking through us, you agree to both our terms and those of the applicable suppliers.

Please review the following terms carefully before confirming any travel arrangements with us.
THIRD-PARTY SUPPLIERS
Britt & Company Travel works with a wide range of trusted Travel Suppliers to curate exceptional travel experiences. When you make a payment for your trip, you are entering into a contract directly with those suppliers, and your rights and remedies are governed by their terms and conditions.

If a supplier fails to deliver the services promised or alters them, your remedy lies with that supplier—not with Britt & Company Travel. We do our best to provide accurate information and recommendations, but we are not liable for any changes, delays, or dissatisfaction related to supplier services.

Travel services, including flight times and accommodations, may change after booking. We recommend familiarizing yourself with each supplier’s terms and maintaining updated contact information so we can notify you of any changes.

Requests such as room preferences, seat assignments, and special services are passed along to suppliers but cannot be guaranteed.

TRIP RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT FEE
Our personalized planning process may begin with a Trip Research & Development Fee, which reflects the time, care, and expertise we invest in designing and executing your itinerary.

This fee varies based on factors such as the destination, number of travelers, and the complexity of the itinerary. It is non-refundable and is required before research or reservations begin.

PRICE, AVAILABILITY & INCREASES
All prices are based on availability at the time of booking and are subject to change without notice. Until full payment is made, prices may fluctuate due to exchange rates, fuel surcharges, government-imposed taxes, supplier fees, or changes in availability.

Additional charges such as seat selection fees, resort fees, baggage fees, or local taxes may apply and are not always included. These costs are determined by the individual airline, hotel, or supplier and are payable either at the time of booking or directly at your destination.

Once final payment is made, pricing is generally locked in; however, certain supplier-imposed increases may still apply. You will be advised of any such changes, and additional payment may be required.

DEPOSITS & FINAL PAYMENTS
A deposit is required to confirm most travel arrangements, with the amount depending on the travel supplier and itinerary. Final payment due dates will be provided at the time of booking.

Failure to make final payment by the specified deadline may result in cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of your deposit. All payments are subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable suppliers.

CREDIT CARD CHARGEBACKS
Please be aware that many travel arrangements—especially flights, accommodation packages, and promotional fares—are non-refundable, non-transferable, and may not be eligible for changes or cancellations once confirmed. The terms and conditions of each fare or booking are dictated by the Travel Supplier, and restrictions or penalties may apply depending on the fare type and supplier policy.

Any changes to your itinerary, passenger information, or travel dates may result in significant penalties or may not be permitted at all. These penalties are determined by the supplier and will be outlined on your Invoice and Itinerary. Changes to the number of travelers may also result in pricing adjustments due to changes in occupancy or group rate eligibility.

By accepting these Terms & Conditions, you authorize Britt & Company Travel to act on your behalf in seeking refunds, credits, or travel vouchers that may be made available by airlines, hotels, or other suppliers in accordance with their individual policies. Please note that once travel has commenced, most airline tickets and reservations become strictly non-refundable. In the event you cancel or change a flight segment, the unused portion of the itinerary may be forfeited if the airline is not informed prior to the original departure time.

Initiating a credit card chargeback for services that were rendered or for which refunds are not permitted under the applicable supplier terms may constitute a breach of contract and could result in further action, including legal remedies or cancellation of future bookings. Before disputing a charge, we ask that you first contact Britt & Company Travel to allow us to address your concerns and seek a resolution directly with the supplier where possible.

Initiating a chargeback without giving us an opportunity to assist may result in the cancellation of your travel arrangements, additional administrative fees, and the forfeiture of any applicable refunds.

CREDIT CARD FEES
Please note that some Travel Suppliers may apply credit card processing fees when payments are made by credit card. These fees are set by the supplier and typically range from 1.5% to 4%, depending on the payment method, currency, and supplier policies. These fees are in addition to the cost of your travel arrangements and are collected by the supplier at the time of payment.

In some cases, Britt & Company Travel may also charge a credit card processing fee to cover merchant charges associated with accepting credit card payments. If applicable, this fee will be communicated before your payment is processed.
To avoid credit card fees, alternative payment methods such as Interac e-Transfer (within Canada), ACH transfer (within the U.S.), or wire transfer may be available. Please consult your travel advisor for available options based on your location and currency of payment.

HEALTH & SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
It is your responsibility to ensure you are medically fit for travel and to disclose any health conditions or mobility needs in advance. Some destinations and activities may not be suitable for all travelers.

We will do our best to accommodate special requirements when possible; however, we cannot guarantee availability or suitability of requested services. Certain destinations may require vaccinations, COVID-related documentation, or health screenings.

Britt & Company Travel is not liable for any costs, delays, or issues arising from failure to meet health-related entry requirements or fitness for travel.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION
Each traveler must have the required documentation for entry into all countries on their itinerary. This includes valid passports, visas, vaccination records, and any other required identification or health documents.

Passports must generally be valid for at least six (6) months beyond your return date. Visa and entry requirements vary based on nationality and destination.

Failure to obtain required documents may result in denied boarding or entry at your own expense. Britt & Company Travel is not responsible for any resulting losses or disruptions.

We recommend reviewing entry and visa requirements well in advance of travel, and Britt & Company Travel disclaims any liability for disruptions caused by incomplete or incorrect documentation.

TRAVEL PROTECTION
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover trip cancellation, interruption, medical emergencies, lost baggage, and other unforeseen events.

While we can provide insurance quotes or connect you with providers, it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure adequate coverage is in place. Declining travel insurance is done at your own risk.

BRITT & COMPANY TRAVEL CHANGE & CANCELLATION FEES
Changes or cancellations requested after confirmation may incur additional fees. Britt & Company Travel reserves the right to charge change or cancellation fees ranging from $35 to $500 per instance, depending on the scope and timing of the change and or cancellation.

These fees are in addition to any penalties or non-refundable charges imposed by Travel Suppliers. We will provide information about applicable fees at the time of your request.

All change requests must be submitted in writing, and availability cannot be guaranteed. All cancellation requests must also be submitted in writing.

RECONFIRMING FLIGHT TIMES & CHECK-IN
It is your responsibility to reconfirm all flight times at least 24 hours prior to departure. We strongly recommend checking in directly with the airline 24 hours prior to departure either online, or through the airlines app.

Please arrive at the airport early and allow sufficient time for check-in, security, and boarding. Airlines may deny boarding to late arrivals, and no-shows are subject to full cancellation with no refund.

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCES & RESTRICTIONS
Baggage policies vary by airline and fare class. Please review your airline’s baggage rules before traveling. Charges may apply for checked or oversized baggage.

Britt & Company Travel is not responsible for lost, delayed, or damaged luggage. Any claims must be filed directly with the airline or applicable carrier.

RESPONSIBILITY
At Britt & Company Travel, we strive to ensure that your travel experience meets your expectations and is as smooth as possible. However, please note that we do not own, operate, or control the third-party companies that provide the various components of your trip. This includes, but is not limited to, airlines, hotels, cruise lines, ground transportation providers, tour operators, activity providers, guides, and restaurants.

These service providers are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, or affiliates of Britt & Company Travel. As such, we are not responsible or liable for the actions, omissions, errors, or negligence of any third-party supplier, nor for any personal injury, property damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity that may occur during your travels as a result of their services.

We act solely as an intermediary between you and these independent suppliers to help coordinate your travel arrangements, and your booking is subject to the terms and conditions of those individual providers.

Britt & Company Travel disclaims all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from third-party acts, omissions, or force majeure events beyond our control, including but not limited to weather disruptions, labor strikes, or governmental actions.
TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN
Some destinations or airlines require additional documentation for children traveling with one parent or without both parents. It is your responsibility to verify and obtain necessary authorizations, such as notarized consent forms.

Failure to comply may result in denied boarding or entry without refund.
NOTICE TO TRAVELLERS
When traveling internationally, it’s important to understand that living standards, local customs, infrastructure, and services may differ significantly from those in your home country. These differences can impact everything from the quality of accommodations and food to healthcare access and utility services such as electricity and water.

Britt & Company Travel cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience, illness, injury, or dissatisfaction resulting from differences in local standards, economic conditions, or infrastructure. We encourage all travelers to research their destination and prepare accordingly.

Accommodations:
The star ratings or classifications of hotels and resorts are determined by local tourism boards or individual Travel Suppliers and may not align with North American standards. A 4-star property abroad may offer a different level of comfort and amenities than a 4-star hotel in Canada or the U.S. We strongly recommend reviewing independent guest reviews and hotel amenities in advance to ensure the property meets your expectations.

Services and Facilities:
Hotel services, facilities, and amenities may be limited or interrupted due to local customs, seasonal operations, renovations, maintenance, or unforeseen events. Britt & Company Travel acts solely as a booking agent and is not responsible for the quality, availability, or temporary disruption of services provided by third-party suppliers.

Local Challenges:
Minor inconveniences or unexpected situations may arise during your travels. We recommend attempting to resolve issues directly with the local service provider first, as they are often best positioned to assist in real time. If further assistance is needed, your Britt & Company Travel consultant will be happy to help.

Credit Card Requirements:
Many hotels, rental car companies, and cruise lines require a major credit card at check-in to cover incidentals or potential damages. It is recommended to have a minimum of $1,000 CAD/USD in available credit on your card to prevent delays or issues at check-in.

Be Informed, Be Prepared:
We encourage you to ask questions, read reviews, and conduct personal research about your destination, suppliers, and services prior to departure. An informed traveler is a confident traveler—and your preparation will help ensure a smoother and more enjoyable experience.

Your acceptance of these terms and conditions may be indicated by electronic acknowledgment, digital signature, email confirmation, or handwritten signature. All forms of acceptance are legally binding.

By proceeding with a booking through Britt & Company Travel, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
The parties agree that any dispute, claim, or legal proceeding arising out of or relating to this Agreement, your travel booking, or any services provided by Britt & Company Travel shall be brought exclusively before the courts of the Province of Ontario. You expressly waive any right to initiate or transfer legal proceedings to any other jurisdiction.
